FORGE: closing the gap between students and researchers

FORGE partner iMinds has published an overview of the latest developments and offerings of the project, including the iMinds WLAN course and the FORGE iBook. In this article, Daan Pareit from iMinds explains the rationale behind FORGE:

“Using FIRE facilities is easy for a researcher. They know how many computers to select and which programs to use. However, it was still a high-level process for students. We needed to make it simpler. We hid all the complex protocols and mechanisms that are typical with FIRE behind a simple, clickable ‘START’ button”.
